Despite the fact that 4 feet of snow is covering the ground in most of Somerset, I’m still getting ready for the 2010 senior photo season. I had tremendous interest from 2011 seniors about being senior models and I’ll begin shooting those sessions in late March/early April. Normally, I would have been shooting by now, but the weather isn’t cooperating (to put it mildly) and since I specialize in on location portraiture, I don’t see any point in making everyone do cheesy, in studio photos. I’d rather wait another month and get some truly amazing photos for my senior models instead.![]()
Speaking of senior models, there are a couple school for which I’m still looking for a model, so anyone who is interested is free to fill out the application. Just click the “Be a 2011 senior model” link above.
Part of getting ready for the new season means upgrading my equipment. Earlier this month I invested in over $6,000 in a new camera and new lenses so I can continue to offer my clients the absolute best. While the camera itself isn’t responsible for taking great photos, it’s still an important tool and keeping up to date with technology is important.
Another way I’m getting ready for the photography season is by updating the products and services which I can offer my clients. Soon, I will be posting my updated price guide which will not only feature better prices for print collections, but I’ll be offering a completely new line of senior photo products called The Signature Collection. That will include new albums and print sizes along with one of a kind photo montages and several really cool, custom designed new items which no other studios in the area are selling. It’s just another way that I’m working to ensure that my clients are getting amazing photos and an incredible senior photo experience which they can’t get anywhere else! ![]()

The snow continues to fall. Soon the house will be half buried in the drifts.
Since we’re pretty much confined to the indoors, we painted the living room yesterday.

Even Eli is tired of the snow.
