SUPER SALE for February & March

In the current economy, everyone is looking to save some money so I’m going to do my part with a SUPER SALE  on photo sessions.  The sale is tentatively scheduled to last through March, but could end earlier depending on just how many people take me up on it. :)

The sale applies to the following 1 hour shoots:

Seniors – class of 2009 only
Families
Bellies aka Maternity
Babies
Boudoir
Bands
Engagement Portraits
Headshots &  portraits

The sale is incredible.  You’ll never find such a good deal again.  In fact, it’s so good that I can’t publish the prices but you can email me or call the studio at 814-443-2350 to find out all of the details.  Remember, the sale will only be good through Feb & March and it’s running on a first come, first serve basis.

Well, what are you waiting for? :)

Prom – Kyllie

I’ve had a great reception to Katie’s alternative prom photos and today I had my second “Alt” Prom session.

Kyllie was a blast to work with and didn’t seem to mind the cold weather at all – even when the wind kicked up. She’d brought her coat with her and I just love those “furry” hoods, so at the end of the shoot, I just had to take some shots of her wearing it. Aren’t her eyes amazing? Kyllie’s sister, Kelsey helped out during the shoot and hopefully I’ll be able to take some portraits for her soon too.

Prom – Katie

For a lot of students, prom is one of the biggest events of their high school years. But all most students have to remember their proms and dances are cheesy “stand in front of fake pillars and pose awkwardly next to their date” formals or snapshots and cell phone pics. I’ve always wanted to do different, artistic “prom” photos to really show off the dresses and fashion and what could be more different than prom dress photos – in the snow.

So, I recently posted messages on Facebook and MySpace asking who wanted to brave the cold and Katie was the first to take me up on the idea. It was exactly 20 degrees this morning in Somerset and I know she was freezing, but Katie was a trooper and did an awesome job modeling for the photos. I had a super hard time selecting a few for the blog and these are just some of my favorite “Alternative” Prom photos!

If you’re interested in an alt+prom shoot, just call the studio at 814-443-2350 or email me using the contact form at the top of the blog.

Congrats, Jill!

I opened the Daily American today and was thrilled to see that one of my senior portrait clients received a very prestigious degree from the FFA. Check out the article and feel free to see some of Jill’s other senior photos on my blog.

I need something to blog about…

I feel like a heel because I haven’t been blogging worth anything since the New Year. In my defense, I was out of town for a while and, well, since I’ve been back the weather is terrible. And I’m talking 8 inches of snow, -10 degrees terrible. Not ideal for shooting photos outdoors.

I have had several boudoir shoots as Valentine’s Day nears. But those photos are seldom posted on the blog for client’s privacy, so while I’ve been busy with them, I don’t have any photos I can show off publicly. So, alas, I’m left with nothing to really blog about.

This is really the only time of year that living in Western PA (especially THIS part of Western PA) starts to get to me. I don’t mind snow per se, but I hate being cooped up in the house and not being outside shooting.

I keep thinking about senior photo season, which this year I anticipate starting much earlier than usual since I’ve been signing up Team Members to represent me in their schools. I have been compiling some new ideas and scouting some new locations, so I’m quite excited to get to work on that. It gives me something to look forward to during these cold, snowy days.:)
