LOST

Are there any LOST fans out there reading my blog? If so, what did you think of the finale? I thought it was all kinds of awesome. We were given a ton of information last night and presented with lots of new questions too. Is Locke really dead? Is Jin? And what happened to Faraday and the other people on the little raft when the island moved? I like Faraday a lot, he’s so fragile. Hopefully his character wasn’t killed off.

My new theory is that Charles Widmore was the one time leaders of “the others” and he had to move the island, thus now he can’t return – just like Ben. It just seems to fit. I’m probably wrong though. I usually am when it comes to the show. BTW, Ben is my favorite character. I hated him when he said he didn’t care if everyone on the boat died but loved him when he apologized to Locke for making his life so miserable.

It’s going to be EIGHT MONTHS until we get more LOST. I don’t know if I can wait that long. But wow, that was one great season finale.

Untitled photo for untitled series

I hate naming photos. That’s why I prefer to leave things untitled. Of course, when I have a series, that does need a name if for no other reason than I don’t want to type “the untitled series on which I’m currently working” every time I post a photo. I’ll come up with something. I have some ideas, just trying to pick the one that sounds the least cliched and pretentious.

Anyway, here’s the first photo. I wanted to start with something fairly simple before moving on to the more challenging photos with more people/exterior locations. Many of the future shots will have more emotional depth to them as well, but I thought it would be nice to include some lighthearted images too.

Lisa & David’s Wedding

Yesterday Sharon and I were back in Pittsburgh to shoot David and Lisa’s wedding. The ceremony and reception took place at the airport Marriott and we used the great weather of the sunny day to our advantage at the waterfall near Campbell’s Run. We had a great time working with the couple and loved the fact that they had their dog in the hotel suit. She certainly added something special to the photos.:)I also must say that they had the BEST wedding cake we’ve ever eaten!

Erica & Jamie’s Wedding

Yesterday Sharon and I went to Stoystown to shoot Jamie and Erica’s wedding. I knew the couple was planning a beautiful outdoor ceremony and we’ve been trapped in a rainy spell so I was dreading another day possibly damped by steady rainfall. Fortunately the weather took a turn for the better and the sun was shining all day long, allowing everything to go off without a hitch. Erica and Jamie are such a sweet couple and we had a great time working with them.

So you want to be in pictures…

I’m looking for lots of people to take part in a new series of narrative images I’ll be shooting over the summer. They range from comical to thought-provoking and should all be pretty darned cool. If all goes well, I’ll be shooting the first image in the series on Monday. Also, FYI, I have 2 weddings this weekend so if you need me, I probably won’t be available until Monday.

If you’re interested in taking part in the project, just send me an email or leave me a blog comment. You don’t need to be beautiful or look like a model, I’m looking for lots of regular folks. =)
