Wedding + Tricia & Brian, Johnstown, PA

Although wedding season is winding down, on Saturday Sharon and I were in Johnstown to capture Tricia and Brian’s big day. We started the day at the church – the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship – where Tricia and the bridesmaids were getting ready and they were such a fun group to work with! Everyone was happy and relaxed, making it a great way to start off the day. And I have to say that Tricia looked absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero dress! Brian and the groomsmen arrived a little while later and before too long it was time for the ceremony which was capped off with one of the best “kisses” I’ve ever had the luck to photograph!

After the ceremony, the bridal party wanted to ride around in the limo so we went to central park in Johnstown for some group shots. The whole wedding party was great to photograph and after we finished there, we headed for the reception which was taking place at the Living and Learning Center on the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Campus. The night was so much fun, filled with emotion and happiness. It was such a pleasure to be part of their wedding!

Saturday Sharon and I were back in Pittsburgh to photograph the wedding of Julie and Chris. Most of the day was spent in the Oakland area and we started things off at Chris’s parents house where the guys were getting ready. It was a great group of guys and I knew right away that it was going to be a fun day. After some time with them, we headed to the hotel where Julie and the ladies were getting ready. It was such a fun time and Julie, her mom and the rest of the girls were all awesome.

We then headed to St. Paul Cathedral for the ceremony. St. Paul is always a gorgeous wedding location and it makes for stunning photos. Afterward, we took outdoor photos at the Carnegie building, Schenley Park and the Mount Washington overlook. The latter of which was actually the very spot where Chris proposed to Julie!

The day wrapped up with a terrific reception at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall, where the party was DJ’ed by the always excellent Andy Booth. I was also THRILLED to see two of my previous wedding couples, Michelle & Chuck and Trina & Chris. It was such a lovely wedding and we had a great time working with everyone!

Yesterday I took a short break from seniors to photograph the wedding of Jerad and Kelly. Sharon and I kicked off the day at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Somerset where Kelly and the girls were getting ready and where the beautiful ceremony took place. Afterward, we did some portraits at the church and then headed over to the reception, which took place at the Oakurst Team Room. Time was running short, but we did a few fun photos outside before the wedding party headed indoors for the party. It was a lovely wedding and Kelly and Jerad, along with their family and friends, were all awesome to work with. Congratulations to all!
