Life + Forgotten photos

I was getting my memory cards ready for this weekend’s weddings (yes, that is weddingS – plural, we’re shooting one in Pittsburgh on Friday and one in Ligonier on Saturday) and I came across some photos that I had almost forgot about.

Earlier this year we had robins build a nest under our deck.  Eggs were  laid and we waited patiently for them to hatch.  When the babies eventually arrived, I had grab a snapshot.

The other photos were from way back at Christmas.  We always buy Eli presents and wrap them.  Watching him tear into them is pretty much the highlight of the holiday morning.  I like the first photo – you can see the inquisitive “Can I open these yet” look on his face.

Anyway, I was rained out three days this week and figured I’d post some oldish pics before our weddings.

Pet Portraits

Just a reminder, if you haven’t already picked up your photo, the pet portraits are at the Pet Boutique.  Just stop by during normal business hours.

Thanks again to everyone who participated! =)

Pet Portraits

Yesterday’s Pet Portrait photo shoot to raise money for the Humane Society of Somerset County went great.  Sharon and I met so many fantastic people and so many awesome pets.  The turnout was much better than I ever hoped for and we raised a lot of money and food for the shelter.  Thank you to EVERYONE who came out for portraits and to everyone at the Pet Boutique who gave us a convenient place to take the photos.

Pet Portraits to benefit the Humane Society of Somerset County

On Saturday May 1, I will be shooting pet portraits to benefit the Humane Society of Somerset County.  Everyone who makes a donation will receive a free sitting for their pet and a free 5×7 print.  The donation can be made one of three ways.  You can donate:

One 15 pound bag of dog food.

or

One 7 pound bag of cat food AND one bag of kitty litter.

or

$15 which can either be paid in cash or a check payable to the Humane Society of Somerset County.

The photo shoot will be held at the Pet Boutique which is located at 317 Georgian Place, Somerset (in the Georgian Outlet Mall).  The shoot will last from 2pm to 4pm.  No appointment is needed – it’s first come, first served.

All donations will be given directly to the Humane Society of Somerset County.  I am donating my time, talent and the photos.  The Pet Boutique is donating the space and their kindness.  Neither of us are taking a single penny.

All photos will be available for pick up at the Pet Boutique by May 15 (you can pick them up after that too, of course).

I am the one organizing this event, so if you have any questions, call my studio at 814-443-2350 and I’ll be happy to answer them.

Anonymous - Great Idea!!! Will see ya on Saturday!

Spring is here!

The snow is gone and the flowers are starting to open.  It’s so nice to have this long, long winter come to an end.  We even saw a few honeybees.  In the past 3 years, I don’t think we’ve seen more than 2 honey bees but there were several buzzing about the other day. =)
