Baby Shower + Deekota, Navneet & family

On Friday afternoon the phone rang.  It was my wedding client and former classmate, Deekota and the first thing she said was, “I hope you don’ t have a wedding tomorrow.”  When I told her I didn’t, she told me that she was having a baby shower at the Georgian Inn, a beautiful wedding venue in Somerset where I shot her and her husband Navneet’s wedding reception in 2008.  Now the happy couple is expecting their first baby and they wanted me to shoot the baby shower.  I’d never shot a baby shower before, but I was up for it!

I’m so happy for them and their shower was beautiful.  The food was excellent, the gifts were adorable and the love and emotion from their friends and family was very evident.  Congratulations to Deekota, Navneet and Baby!:)

Bellies + April & Bobby

Just a few hours after returning home from “vacation”, I was back at work shooting April and Bobby’s “belly” photos.  I love shooting more lifestyle themed maternity photos.  They’re so much more fun than the really traditional stuff and Bobby and April really liked that idea too.  I’ve photographed them both before and just like then, I had a great time working with them!

Danielle & Mike’s Belly Photos

Yesterday I had the chance to work with Mike and Danielle and shoot their maternity photos. I actually shot their wedding video a few years ago and have since done wedding work for Danielle’s sister and cousin. Needless to say, I’ve become good friends with the family and when I learned that Danielle and Mike were expecting, I told them I had to do their “belly” shots. We had a terrific time and lucked out with the first “non rainy” day in over a week. We even recreated my favorite maternity shoot of all time (Mommy 2 Be, Daddy 2 Be). And Mike wanted to show off his sense of humor with the “catcher” shot which I think it fantastic.

The Big Dog Dad - Great shots Tony. I think you captured my sis and brother in law perfectly. My favorite is the “catcher’s shot”

Heidi - Wonder who will be catching whom in the delivery room? Do we really think Mikey can “stomach” delivery? ha ha
I’m sure they will both come through with flying colors… if not, I’ll lend Danielle a brother-in-law, who’s been through the ropes!
Beautiful pictures- I think we should get some family photos, once the new addition arrives!
