Yesterday Sharon and I shot Kate and Daniel’s wedding at The Hayloft in Rockwood, PA.  The weather this spring has been amazingly rainy so I was more than a little nervous as their big day approached.  Fortunately, the forecast took a turn for the better and we ended up with a magnificent day for the outdoor ceremony.

Kate is from Maine (possibly my favorite place in the world) and Daniel’s from Virginia so Western PA ended up being something of a mid point for all of the family to converge for the wedding.  The happy couple was an absolute joy to work with, from prep at the Hayloft House, throughout the day and into the evening.  I had so much fun with Daniel, Kate and their families and friends and it was a pleasure to photograph their wedding day.

On Saturday, Sharon and I shot our final wedding of the year.  For us, Sarah and Mena’s wedding day started at Sarah’s parent’s home where we did some casual portraits before heading to the church in Canonsburg.  The beautiful Greek Orthodox ceremony was stunning to watch and an honor to photograph.  After photos at the church, we headed to the country club for the reception.  Despite the fact that we only had about 20 minutes of daylight for photos on the golf course, we still had a great time and the reception was a blast!  It was a great way wrap up “wedding season”!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting Nicole and Michael’s beautiful wedding.  The ceremony and reception both took place at The Hayloft in Rockwood, and it was without a doubt the perfect day for a wedding.  As soon as I saw their wedding cake, which was a a replica of an Xbox 360, I knew it was going to be a fun wedding and I was right.  Everyone was so friendly and fun and outgoing.  Even when the ceremony was delayed by a missing shuttle bus, everyone remained relaxed and happy.  I had such a fantastic time working with Nicole and Michael and it was an honor to photograph their big day!
